WristPadel

Apple Watch Score Tracker — Support

About the App

WristPadel is a standalone Apple Watch app for tracking the score of a padel or tennis match directly on your wrist. No iPhone required.

Features include real-time score tracking, optional set tracking (best of 3), golden point mode, pause/restart, undo, and automatic HealthKit workout recording.

How to Use

  1. Open WristPadel on your Apple Watch. Tap the Padel tile to jump straight into a Best of 3 + Golden Point match, or Custom to set up your own match first.
  2. On the Custom setup screen, toggle Golden Point and/or Best of 3 Sets, then tap Start Match.
  3. During the match, tap the green "You" side or the yellow "Them" side to award a point. A small arrow above the score shows who's serving.
  4. Tap Undo below the score at any time to revert the last point — this also undoes any game, set, or tiebreak transition it caused.
  5. Swipe left from the score screen for the menu page (End, Pause/Resume, Restart, Undo), or swipe right for the sets overview (when Best of 3 is on).
  6. The app automatically tracks a Tennis workout in the background. Your workout data will appear in the Health and Fitness apps after the match ends.
  7. When the match is over, tap New Match to start a new one, or Undo Last Point to reopen the final point.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need my iPhone nearby?

No. WristPadel is a fully standalone watchOS app and works entirely on your Apple Watch without an iPhone present.

What is Golden Point?

In golden point mode, the first player to win a point at deuce wins the game immediately, with no advantage rallies. This speeds up play.

What is Best of 3 Sets?

When enabled, the match tracks up to 3 sets and the first player to win 2 sets wins the match. A tiebreak is played at 6-6 in each set. When disabled, a single set is played.

How do I undo a point?

Tap the Undo button below the score during a match, or the Undo icon on the menu page (swipe left from the score screen). One undo reverts the last point, including any game or set transitions that resulted from it.

Can I pause or restart a match?

Yes. Swipe left from the score screen to the menu page for Pause/Resume and Restart buttons. Ending or restarting a match asks for confirmation first.

Why does the app ask for Health permissions?

WristPadel records a Tennis workout session to your Apple Health so your activity is tracked automatically. You can deny this permission — scoring will still work normally, the workout just won't be saved.

The workout isn't appearing in the Health app. What should I do?

Make sure you have granted Health permissions to WristPadel. On your iPhone, go to Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → WristPadel and enable both read and write access.

Can I use WristPadel for regular tennis?

Yes. The scoring rules follow standard tennis conventions and work equally well for padel and tennis.
